Project Structural Engineer - Responsibilities:

1.      Review, evaluate, compare, and prepare structural engineering designs and evaluations for building and other types of structures.

2.      Perform structural (gravity & lateral) analysis and design of building projects made of steel, timber, concrete, and masonry consistent with International Building Code, California Building Code, ASCE 7-10, ACI 318 and other design standards.

3.      Resolve projects’ design issues with other disciplines, including architects, civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, etc.

4.      Provide construction administration support throughout the construction phase of the projects.

5.      Provide site visits/observations during construction phase of the projects to ensure general conformance with project documentation and design specifications.

6.      Write field report documenting site observations/findings and any recommendations to resolve deficiencies.

7.      Review soil testing results and design criteria (geotechnical report) to determine the adequacy and strength of the foundation.

8.      Prepare and organize engineering design documents and technical reports.

9.      Perform analytical stress, strain, and serviceability check of structural members in accordance with regulations as prescribed by currently adopted State Codes and Code referenced documents.

10.  Provide drawing for designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings for designers/drafters, and review resulting drawings.

11.  Manage design changes, within schedule/ budget.  

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 1 year experience in structural engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of the following: Ram Structural Analysis and Design, RISA 3-D Structural Analysis and Design, Enercalc General Analysis and Design, Retain Pro Earth Structure Analysis and Design, AutoCAD


 


Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:
* Direct multiple projects from inception through completion
* Manage teams of engineers and interface with clients
* Resolve issues with other disciplines
* Maintain time and budget guidelines throughout projects
Qualifications:
* Professional Engineer with 4+ years experience
* Professional leadership and management skills
* Ability to mentor junior engineers

 


Project Engineer

Responsibilities:
* Complete design and documentation of multiple and simultaneous engineering projects
* Effective communication with architects and owners
* Field investigations
* Construction administration
* Site observation and inspection
Qualifications:
* Experience with assisted structural analysis programs, including AUTOCAD, RISA, EnerCalc, SAFE, and Ram Analysis
* BS in Civil/ Architectural Engineering
* 2-4 years relevant experience (training provided)




Entry-Level Engineer

Responsibilities:
* Assist in the complete design and documentation of engineering projects
* Effective communication with engineering and CAD staff
* Assist in the construction administration of engineering projects
Qualifications:
* Enthusiasm and a desire to learn
* Experience with assisted structural analysis programs, including AUTOCAD, RISA, EnerCalc, SAFE, and Ram Analysis
* BS in Civil/ Architectural Engineering
* 1-2 years relevant experience (training provided)




CAD Specialist

Responsibilities:
* Draft multiple retail, commercial, institutional, and residential projects
* Prepare, copy and distribute drawings
* Assist engineering staff
Qualifications:
* 1-3 years AutoCAD experience
* Knowledge of the structural and architectural design process
* Able to understand and interpret engineering and architectural plans
* Able to prepare drawings of views, sections, details, and material layouts
